Art Institute Tea Party Performance- December 8th

The Art Institute Annual Treasure Hunt & Tea Party is a fun family event and we are excited to participate for the 3rd consecutive year. Chicagoland families purchase tickets to partake in a treasure hunt around the museum, culminating in a tea party in a ballroom. Our students will perform for these families arriving at the tea party. Each student is allowed to bring ONE guardian to the event. Parents/guardians are being asked to watch the performance from the Balcony area this year, to reduce congestion in the Ballroom. Our students will not need to purchase tickets in order to participate in the performance, but if you would like to bring other siblings or family members then I recommend that you purchase tickets for them:

They will also have access to the museum for the remainder of the day, as well as the snacks and treats in the Tea Party Ballroom.

String students who are Book 1B level and above, were invited to perform at this year's Art Institute Tea Party Event.

Practice-a-thon 2013. And the winners are...

I am so proud of all of our students who pushed themselves to be consistent with their practice habits this month!  I am also grateful to parents who supported them at home and contributed to our fundraising campaign.
While so many of our students racked up the minutes this month, there can only be a 1st and 2nd place in each level. I am impressed with the amount of time so many students spent practicing this month.

So, the winners are…

Level 1-2:
1st Place- Andrew Williams at 744 minutes
2nd Place- Matthew Kim at 704 minutes

Level 3-5:
1st Place- Kai Dizon at 2,403 minutes
2nd Place- Henry Auxenfans at 1,888 minutes
